Do I need to be home for delivery?
If you're receiving a one-man delivery, DPD will text you as soon as your furniture is ready to be dispatched, giving you the option to arrange for your furniture to be left in a safe space, with a neighbour, or delivered to a pick-up shop. Please be aware that one-man delivery crews will not be able to remove or dispose of any packaging.
If it's a two-man delivery, the service includes taking your furniture to a room of your choice and removing the packaging, so you'll need to be home to accept the delivery. We cannot leave your furniture with a neighbour or at a pick-up shop.
If your furniture doesn't look quite right when it arrives, please hold on to the packaging in case you need to arrange a collection.
Please note that we can't guarantee we'll deliver your furniture beyond the first floor of your building unless it can be transported in a lift. You can either choose to accept the delivery at the closest accessible point, or refuse the delivery.
If nobody was available to accept delivery of your furniture, our delivery partner will leave a card asking you to contact their depot to rearrange your delivery.
Please be aware that for rearranged deliveries involving a two-man crew, a fee of £48 may be charged.
